Who is Nick?

Nick Montoya is an executive coach and an expert in breakthrough management. Montoya has helped thousands breakthrough challenging and complex problems that result in competitive advantage, increased productivity, effectively managed transitions and significantly improved morale. Montoya is a nationally acclaimed author, consultant, speaker and expert trainer that received years of practical experience at Intel Corporation, where he held senior management positions in marketing, manufacturing, human resources and information technology. During his 27 years at Intel Corporation, he became the “go to” person for solving complex organizational issues and leading management teams through major changes and transitions. Montoya’s Intel experience included expatriate assignments in Japan and Malaysia.

In December 2007, Montoya retired from Intel to start his own company, Nick Montoya Inc., founded on the principles of breakthrough management. Montoya developed, trademarked and published a book on an innovative management process, the Magic Megaphone. The Magic Megaphone has achieved international recognition and today thousands of companies, non-profit organizations and government agencies are using this straightforward approach to project management. His company recently released the online version of this effective process making it easier for everyone to use.

Nick Montoya received his Bachelors Degree in Business from Northern Arizona University with a double emphasis in Management and Organizational Development and today is a guest lecturer for many Universities’ MBA and Executive MBA programs. Montoya is a community leader and is the immediate Past Chair of the Board for the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the non-profit Sacramento Business Services Center and Make a Wish Foundation and is an alumnus of the FBI Citizen’s Academy. Montoya is the Committee Chair for the Greater Sacramento Latino Leadership Council addressing key issues impacting the community. Montoya is an alumnus of the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi of the Zeta Omega Chapter of Northern Arizona State University. Montoya is also a certified Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher helping students build strength of mind and body. He is an avid Paso Fino horse enthusiast and is the proud father of three daughters.
